Wayzata Community Sailing Center is firmly focused on building better people through the sport of sailing. Our center creates access to the lake and outdoors by providing a true community experience in a fun and exciting environment. The WCSC maintains its own large fleet of sailboats to lower the cost barriers of participation, while subsidizing all instructional fees and providing scholarships to those in need. We rely heavily on fundraising for operations, equipment, and capital improvements. Programming includes all ages, abilities, and interests - we currently offer youth camps, racing, adult instruction, adaptive, and outreach programming. Through foundation partnerships we are able to provide cost-free outreach programming to groups like Interfaith Outreach, Open Door Evangelical, and Cool Youth in the City. Winter revamping of programming will include new STEM units in all camp classes. We intend to increase community ownership of our lakes and natural environment while still having a ton of fun.
