Our Mission: "Promoting Student Success"

History

Located in northern Wisconsin, the District can be found at the northern end of Interstate 39. Our District boundaries run from Irma on the south to the Willow Reservoir on the north, and from the Harrison Hills on the east to Spirit Falls on the west.

As with all Wisconsin school districts, Tomahawk strives for excellence in education. As we move forward with the 21st century, we will be guided by a strong set of academic standards. The District annually assesses our students on those critical skills, and student performance has consistently out-paced the rest of the State.

The District maintains a number of programs to foster the success of our students. The District is a participant in the Student Achievement Guarantee in Education (SAGE) program which provides for low student-teacher ratios in grades K-3. Our students participate in additional reading and math programs in lower levels to help assure their success as they come through their school years. Programs such as looping and multi-age offer our parents choices as their child grows in their education.

Our District has active parent organizations at all levels. Parents are encouraged to become involved in their child's educational program. Each school has a parent advisory group that actively works with administration for the betterment of our programming.

The District offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities. Drama, forensics, music, service clubs, and multiple athletic offerings allow our students to pursue areas of interest. When combined with our academic offerings, these activities help to provide an exciting and rewarding experience for our students.
