Mission:

To create an environment in which arts experiences are an integral part of community life and in which each person can develop his or her creative potential, both as creator and consumer.

The Lake City Arts Council will promote and support the arts and encourage creativity and artistic expression. It will showcase local artists and provide a structure for arts funding and a clearinghouse for arts information. It will coordinate arts activities and encourage participation in the arts by all ages.

Through the above, it will endeavor to enhance the positive image and the economic base of the community.

9 - 15 member volunteer Board of Directors; year-round and seasonal residents.
 
Advisory (Auxiliary) Board; year-round and seasonal residents.
 
1 part-time paid Administrative Assistant/Theatre Manager
 
Regular monthly Board meetings on third Tuesday of each month.
 
Annual all-day planning and self review session, currently each November.

Board members chair and serve on standing committees (Example: Membership, Finance, Cabin Fever Players, Outside Events, Black Crooke Facility, Long-Range Planning, etc). 

Member of Colorado Arts Consortium and Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
