The School District of Durand is a preK-12 public school district located in the scenic hills and valleys along the southern end of the Chippewa River. Students in the district attend school at three different sites: Caddie Woodlawn Early Learning Center, Arkansaw Elementary School, and Durand Jr./Sr. High School. The Early Learning Center features our youngest learners including B-3, Head Start, Early Childhood, 4-year old Kindergarten and Kindergarten. The elementary school houses our students in grades 1 – 6, with 7th – 12th graders at the Junior – Senior High School. All three sites offer a comprehensive continuum of special education programming and services. The district also provides services from two school psychologists and a part-time social worker. In addition, the district jointly supports an alternative school for students who are severely at-risk of dropping out of public education.
