About Us:

Messiah Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We have been in the Burlington community for over 150 years. Join us at 8:00 AM or 10:30 AM for worship or attend Sunday School for all ages at 9:15 AM. We, also, hold an informal worship service on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM!

History:

Messiah is a friendly congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We were organized in 1859 by Swedish Lutheran immigrants who built their church on “West Hill” in Burlington. In 1962, we dedicated our present building on West Avenue. Messiah is known for music and liturgy, Christian education, friendship and fellowship, and for our involvment in the life of Christ in this community and in the world. Come worship with us!
