McDonough Lions Club

2000 Commerce Place

Mission:

The Lions Club International was started by Melvin Jones in 1917 with this simple question...."what if people put their talents to work improving their communities?"      In 1925, Helen Keller challenged Lions to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness."   Since then, we have worked tirelessly to aid the blind and visually impaired.

Dedicated to the needs of our community, the McDonough Lions Club raises funds and supports:  Haven House, the Henry County Scholarship Fund, Eye exams and prescription glasses for Henry County residents, Free Eye screening for students in the Henry County Schools, GA Lion Lions Camp for the Blind, GA Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and Southeastern Guide dogs to name a few.

Our international network has grown to include more than 206 countries and geographic areas with 1.35 million members in more than 46,000 clubs.
