Mantua takes great pride in the programs we provide for  our senior community. The details of our most popular programs are listed below. I strongly encourage all seniors to come out and enjoy our services as well as the chance to  socialize with the other Mantua Seniors. Also, during the “Dog Days of Summer”, remember stay hydrated and plan any outdoor activities for early in the day. 

SENIOR BUS TRANSPORTATION:

Mantua offers a free bus transportation service Monday thru Friday that takes our seniors on various shopping trips and planned outings. Some of our favorite spots include: ShopRite, Kmart, Target, Deptford Mall area, the movies and events sponsored by the Gloucester County Board of Freeholders. SENIOR DINNERS:

The Recreation Committee hosts free dinners for our Seniors at the Community Center located at 111 Mercer Ave, Sewell. The dates for the dinners are posted on the Mantua Township Senior Calendar.  To be added to the mailing list, please contact the Clerk’s Office 856-468-1500 ext. 100.      

Reservation Hotline: 856-468-1500 EXT. 100. Please make reservations no later than 3 days prior to/or by the date listed in the description of the event to ensure adequate seating and food preparation. When making reservations, call for only one person at a time except for husband and wife. Speak slowly and clearly and leave your name and telephone number.

To receive regular mailings about senior activities, please printout and complete a membership form. 

NUTRITION PROGRAM: 

Mantua Township Seniors have found Gloucester County Nutrition Program a great way to enjoy a quality meal and a way to connect with new friends. The cost is $1.25. The program is an effort by the Division of Senior Services from the Gloucester County Board of Freeholders to give back a little something to the community. The program has nutritious meals throughout the year and is offered to anyone over the age of 60 that is a Gloucester County resident. The lunches are served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mantua Twp. Community Center, 111 Mercer Avenue. To make reservations, please contact 856-468-4773.
