Independence Fifes and Drums was founded in 2001 to bring to life the sounds of Colonial America. Our historic and contemporary music combined with our uniforms of tri-corn hats, hunting shirts, and breeches treat spectators to a display of early American sights and sounds. Members of this diverse group have performed in various venues, some of which include: the White House, George Washington's Mount Vernon, Gunston Hall Plantation, George Washington University, Annapolis Naval Academy, and the Baltimore Convention Center. In addition, members have appeared in many schools, parades, and corporate functions throughout the Northern Virginia and National Capital Region
