About Us :

The Haines Arts Council is a non-profit organization madeup of local residents dedicated to the arts.The original concil was founded in the early 1980's to "close the gap left when the Lynn Canal Community Players stopped sponsoring a concert season."More than 20 years later, the Haines Arts Council is still working to bring the arts to our community through such creative media as film, writing, and the visual arts.In addition, we continue to bring a wide variety of top-natch musicians, dancers and theotrical performers to Haines.We are woking to promote local art at the community level by supporting local artist and musicians and encouraging more locally-based art and cultural activities.
