History:

First Baptist Church Trussville was born July 14, 1821 led by nine men, with Elder Sion Blythe as pastor. For 186 years, First Baptist Church Trussville has enjoyed a rich heritage, proclaiming Jesus as Savior while pointing the people of Trussville and surrounding communities to the God that loves them.

Mission Statement:

We believe a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a Great Church.

We, the First Baptist Church of Trussville are a body of people called Christian, following Jesus Christ and living by His principles. We are growing a great church by having a great commitment to his Great Commandment of loving God completely and our neighbors as ourselves, and fulfilling His Great Commission by making disciples of all people.
