Mission :

Missions is the heartbeat of our church! We support the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention and all mission efforts in Marianna, Florida, North America and the ends of the world.

Right here in Jackson Country we participate in supporting our own Spanish mission work, and feeding the hungry and clothing the needy through Chipola Baptist Mission. We are also involved in jail ministry, nursing home, shut-in ministry, home repair and also home building. We help fund organization such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Chipola Junior College and Marianna High School.

We also support the Florida State Baptist Convention as we partner together to reach the state of Florida for Jesus Christ. We play an active part in the Baptist College of Florida and the Baptist Children’s Home of Florida. Another major branch of the Southern Baptist Convention is the North American Mission Board.

We support and are involved extensively in this effort. International trips have been an annual event, sending construction and evangelism teams to Central America as well as other countries in the world. At First Baptist, missions are indeed the heartbeat of our church.
