Our school was established in 1990 for the purpose of providing children in kindergarten through fifth grade with a quality education in a supportive learning environment. Our mission, at Crockett Elementary, as facilitators of learning, is to challenge students socially, emotionally, culturally, intellectually, and physically in order for them to become contributing citizens in an ever-changing society. We strive to educate children to master academic skills as well as to develop their potential, recognize their dignity and encourage positive self-esteem in order to promote responsible citizens. When our school initially reached its capacity, Edmondson Elementary School was split-off in 1995; Kenrose Elementary School grew from us in 1999; and Sunset Elementary School opened in August 2005 to once again handle the population growth of this area.
