About Us
Cornerstone Christian School is a ministry of Cornerstone Church. Our 2006 - 2007 school year enrollment is 190 children. We offer personalized teaching and limit our class size to 23 children for grades 1 thru 8. Kindergarten, which has a teacher and 1 aide, accommodates 25 children.
In addition to the standard curriculum, we offer music theory, competitive sports, art, drama, library, computer lab and Spanish. Our school wide activities include an awesome Christmas musical, Cultural Day, a jog-a-thon, safety awareness day, snow day. We have a middle school basketball court, new playground equipment, and covered Soccer field. Extended care is available before and after school, which includes optional organized activities and a homework club. We offer hot lunch 5 days a week from popular Poway restaurants including Hamburger Factory, Subway, Figaros, Pick-up-Stix and Rubios.
Cornerstone Christian School is a community school with a focus on quality education teamed with biblical principles. This allows us to equip our children with the best academic education from a Christian World View. Our high standard for excellence in both areas has earned us the honor of dual accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
