Conroe Noon Lions Club

1106 Wilson Road

Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.

The Conroe Noon Lions Club began its commitment to service in 1939 and continues today to help meet the ever-growing needs of its community.  With a retained membership of approximately 300 members, it is the largest service club in Montgomery County, and the second largest Lions Club in the United States.  The club is most proud of its Eyeglass Program that provides eye exams & eyeglasses for school ages children in times of hardship.  In the last few years the program has grown from eight to fifteen schools. Conroe Noon prides itself in touching the lives of children, with  programs such as Kids on the Lake, camps for handicap & diabetic children, scholarships, hearing conservation, youth contests and more.  And yet, the club retains its strong connection with Lions International and the global world through L.C.I. F., World Services for the Blind, the Leader Dog Program.  From a truck raffle to golf tournaments, light bulb sales to Bingo, a previous community carnival to a now auspicious dinner/dance & auction, members of the club have conducted a variety of fundraisers to support their charity projects.

As Conroe Noon celebrates its 65 years, its ultimate goal is to continue its tradition of community service and in doing so this is why the members refer to themselves as …”the Greatest Lions Club in the World”.
