The City of Chisholm is at the geographic center of the largest depository of iron ore in the world, the Mesabi Iron Range, about 200 miles north of the Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, and about 100 miles south of the Canadian Border.

Since Chisholm is located in the middle of the central iron range, Chisholm serves as a natural gateway to Minnesota's "North Country" and as the "hub" of the iron range. Chisholm has more to offer than lake life, there are several parks, tennis courts, curling club, hockey facilities and golf courses in the area. In the event the viewer enjoys the sport of hunting, there is a variety of game in the area such as deer, moose, goose, duck, pheasant, grouse that could be pursued with gun, bow and arrow or camera.
