BISD Mission:
The mission of BISD is to inspire continuous learning and ensure academic success for all students by working as a team to focus on the diverse strengths and needs of our community.

BISD Goals:
- Parents and community members will be active partners with educators in the education of BISD students.
- All students will demonstrate exemplary performance in comparison to state and national standards in the areas of reading and writing of the English language and in the understanding of mathematics, science, social studies and technology in order to compete globally.
- All students will be provided a balanced and appropriate curriculum to ensure they meet their full educational potential.
- Through enhanced dropout prevention efforts, all students will remain in school until they obtain a high school diploma.
- Highly qualified and effective personnel will be recruited, developed and retained with educators keeping abreast of the development of creative and innovative techniques in instruction and administration, using those techniques as appropriate to improve student learning.
- Technology will be implemented and used to increase the effectiveness of student learning, instructional management, staff development and administration.
- BISD will continue to develop and maintain a safe and disciplined environment conducive to teaching and learning, promoting physical and mental health in all students, their families and employees.
- BISD will ensure fiscal accountability and responsibility through sound stewardship of the district's financial resources and will allocate funds in an effective manner in line with all provisions of the Federal and State accounting regulations.
