MADISON, Wis. — In honor of May 14th’s observance of Hmong-Lao Veterans Day, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Ben Wikler issued the following statement:

“On May 14th, we honor the sacrifices made by Hmong-Lao veterans fighting alongside the United States during the Vietnam War and celebrate the thousands of Hmong-Lao veterans who call Wisconsin home. The Hmong-Lao veteran community is an integral part of Wisconsin’s history and culture, and their sacrifices must not be forgotten. The Hmong community has made tremendous contributions to the Badger State and will continue to be a critical part of our story for generations to come.”
