Kitchen Lab for Kids

Tuesday, November 7th

4:00 pm | LBK Auditorium

Learn about the pH scale with the help of common items found in the kitchen. We will use red cabbage to measure the strength of an acid or base solution. Then we will make our own fizzy lemonade!

Open to Elementary ages. Registration is required

Mario Kart for Kids

Tuesday, November 14th

4:00 pm | LBK Auditorium

Join us for a Video Game Tournament! We will be playing Mario Kart on the Switch in the library auditorium. Activities and light snacks will be available as participants wait for their turn to play.

Nailed It Cupcake Challenge

Monday, November 6th 

4:30 pm | Cahaba Meeting Room

Teens, are you ready for a sweet challenge? Join us for Nailed It! Participants will be tasked to re-create a themed cupcake. This program is open to 6th through 12th graders.

Ukulele Club

Are you interested in learning the ukulele or looking for a place to play the instrument with others? We have a professional ukulele player here to help you learn and perfect your skills! Ukuleles are available for check out with your library card.This event is open to all ages.

Adult Book Club

Saturday, November 4th

Connect with your community and share your thoughts about this month's book, Ariadne by Jennifer Saint. Adult Book Club now meets on the first Saturday of each month. Contact the Adult Department (205-655-2022 or [email protected]) if you need assistance in obtaining books or have any questions.

Crafty Collective: Wood Bead Garland Workshop

Monday, November 6th

5:30 pm | LBK Auditorium

Come make a wooden bead garland decoration to celebrate fall! Patrons will be given all supplies and will have two hours to make their own wood bead garland accent piece. Perfect for decorating the Thanksgiving table or adding a finishing touch to your mantle. Acrylic paint will be involved so dress accordingly.
