The TFS Community Hall has founded the Trego Heritage Days event to bring together members of the Lincoln County communities, and beyond, to celebrate our deep roots in ranching, agriculture, and logging in the Tobacco Valley.

Come join us for this family-friendly event full of local artisans, food, events, demonstrations, and more!

Friday, September 8, 2023

12 PM to 9 PM: Trego Pub Open
- Grab a pizza, snack, or beverage (or two) at the Trego Pub from noon to 9 PM Friday.

1 PM to 6 PM: TFS Community Hall - Vendor Village
- Vendor village open with craft, artisan, and food vendors available. See a full list here.

5 PM: Trego Pub - Trego Heritage Days Official Kick-Off Event - Cow Parade
- This year's kick-off event will include a COW PARADE (yes, cow parade!) in front of the Trego Pub.

5:30 PM: Trego Pub - Tobacco Plains Indian Band of the Kootenays Blessing
- Following the cow parade, the Tobacco Plains Indian Band of the Kootenays will present a blessing followed by a welcome to the event speech by TFS Hall President, Todd Swan.

6 PM: Trego Pub - HEADLINER: Helnore Highwater Band
- Join us for great music from local celebrities, Helnore Highwater, food and beverage.

10 AM to 5 PM: TFS Community Hall - Vendor Village
- Vendor village open with craft, artisan, and food vendors available. See a full list here.
- Note food vendors will be available starting at 11 AM.

10 AM to 5 PM: Trego Train Crossing - History of Trains and a Live Train!
- Bring the kids to check out a real train and hear about the history of trains in the TFS area with a local expert.

10 AM to 12:30 PM: Blarney Ranch - Coffee with Cows
- Join us for a cup of Joe and mingling with the local Blarney Ranch Dexter cattle.

10 AM to 1 PM: Earthstones Pottery Studio - Homestead Cabin Studio Tours and Clay Demonstrations
- Come take a tour of one of Trego's oldest log cabins and watch demonstrations on how to process and hand-build with clay, hosted by Casey Fuson at Earthstones Pottery Studio.

10 AM to Noon: Blarney Ranch - Trapping Seminar with Matt Phillips
- Join local, Matt Phillips, for an informational session on the art of trapping. He'll have a booth at Ant Flat with furs on display as well as be around for an educational seminar and trapping Q&A.

11 AM to 4 PM: TFS Community Hall - Kids Crafts
- Join us with your kiddos for a "paint the train" craft and a free goody bag for all kids who attend!

11 AM to 2 PM: Blarney Ranch - Black Powder Demonstrations
- Join our local black powder experts for demonstrations and discussion on black powder history and techniques.

11 AM to 12 PM: Blarney Ranch - FVCC Logging Demonstrations
- Come see the Flathead Valley Community College logging team demonstrate traditional lumberjack sports such as broad axe, crosscut, and more! Check them out on Facebook here. The team will be hanging out in between demonstrations to chat with folks and answer any questions you may have.

12 PM: Earthstones Pottery Studio - Brief History of Clay Talk
- Join TFS Hall Vice President, Casey Fuson, at Earthstones Pottery Studio, for a discussion on the history of clay. The studio is in one of the oldest standing homestead cabins in Trego - appropriate for a history talk!

12 PM to 9 PM: Trego Pub Open
- Grab a bite or a beverage (or two) at the Trego Pub from noon to 9 PM Saturday.

12 PM to 5 PM: Blarney Ranch - Ax Throwing Demonstrations
- Join some local experts on the fine art of ax throwing at Ant Flat with demonstrations, talks, and more!

12 PM to 4:30 PM: Blarney Ranch - Ranching and Horsemanship Demonstrations
- Head down to Blarney Ranch to check out horsemanship and ranching demonstrations and chat with our local ranching experts. We hear there will be tractors, too!
12 PM to 4 PM: Trego Pub - Petting Zoo
- Bring the kids out (or yourself!) for a petting zoo at the Trego Pub.

1 PM to 3 PM: Blarney Ranch - Old Fashion Grass Games
Join White Hawk Horsemanship as they host old fashion grass games at the ranch including tug of war, sack races, and more!

1 PM to 4 PM: Trego Pub - Spinning and Weaving Demonstrations
- Our local spinning and weaving ladies will be at the Trego Pub demoing and chatting with folks about the art of fiber, spinning your own yarn, and weaving techniques!

2 PM to 3 PM: Blarney Ranch - FVCC Logging Demonstrations

3 PM: Blarney Ranch - Pie Eating Contest
Think you have what it takes? Join White Hawk Horsemanship for a pie eating contest on the ranch. Come hungry and eat fast!

5 PM: Trego Pub - History of Trego Ranches and the TFS Community
- Join Blarney Ranch owner and TFS Board member, Brian Gorman, for a talk about the vast history of Trego ranches followed by a history of the TFS Community presented by local historian and author, Darris Flannigan. Darris will have some historical Trego pictures and books on display during the presentation!

6 PM: Trego Pub - HEADLINER: Rob Quist
- Need we say more? Live music, food, and beverage at the Trego Pub to round out the evening.

9AM to Noon: TFS Community Hall - Fireman's Breakfast
- Fireman's Buffet Breakfast with live jazz hosted by the Friends of TFS Fire Department

10:30 AM: TFS Community Hall - RAFFLE DRAWINGS
- Raffle drawing for a Stihl Chainsaw and other baskets during the Fireman's breakfast. Tickets for all raffles will be sold throughout Trego Heritage Days at Trading Post locations at the Trego Pub, TFS Community Hall, and Blarney Ranch. Baskets and raffle items will be on display at the TFS Community Hall.
