Riverwalk Workday

8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Spend the morning working next to the Los Angeles River on the City of Glendale's Riverwalk. We need volunteers to help us remove invasive plants from the landscaped areas along the L.A. River. Please wear sturdy shoes, protective clothing, and bring water. We'll provide the tools and gloves. Families, individuals, clubs, and students needing community service hours are welcome. In case of rain, this event will be cancelled.

Help us water our bigcone spruce and coast live oaks, assist with trail repairs, and remove invasive plants from the park. Please wear sturdy shoes, protective clothing, and bring water. Spend your Saturday evening in the park as we go "Mad for Meteors" at our annual Perseid Meteor Shower Viewing Party. Astronomy themed snacks and drinks will be served. Bring your folding chairs or blankets and dress in layers for the night air.  Please RSVP at glendaleca.gov/trails.

Are you interested in becoming a Trail Safety Patrol Volunteer for the City of Glendale?

As a Trail Safety Patrol (TSP) volunteer, you have a unique opportunity to assist the City of Glendale by providing public assistance and resource protection. Your influence on park visitors will enhance their experience and safety while in our parks.

The TSP consists of two units: The Mountain Bike Unit and the Hike Unit.
TSP volunteers must be 18 years of age, undergo a background check and City-mandated trail safety training, be in good health, and devote a minimum of four hours per month. If interested, please send an email to [email protected].
