The Ocala Wetland Recharge Park to Break Ground on Open-Air Pavilion

Ocala, FL - Construction on a new open-air pavilion and three overlook covers at the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park will begin Monday, Aug. 28 and continue through mid-December.

The park will remain open to visitors throughout construction although some trail entrances and educational exhibits located near the construction area will be closed during this time. The parking lot, public bathrooms and drinking water fountains will remain open. Visitors can find a map of open trails on the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park Facebook page, webpage, and information station located at the park.

The future open-air pavilion will provide an event and education space at the park. Additionally, the pavilion will include restrooms and drinking water fountains.

During this time, there may be dust and noise around the construction area. All necessary actions will be taken to deter disturbances to wildlife.
