The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department along with the Fort King National Historic Landmark will host the first annual ‘Legends of Yule’ at Fort King National Historic Landmark, 3925 E. Fort King St., Saturday, Dec. 2, 6 to 10 p.m.

Step back into history to meet the legends of winters’ past. Storytellers will share early 19th-century worldly traditions carried to Fort King during the Seminole War. Enjoy a cozy lantern-lit experience with a warm beverage and friends. It will be a jolly good evening!

This is a ticketed event and must be purchased online. Walk-up ticket sales will not be available on the night of the event.  General admission is $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased here.

Guests can enjoy two great events on the same weekend. ‘Festival at Fort King’ will occur Saturday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discounts are available for guests purchasing ‘Legends of Yule’ and ‘Festival at Fort King’ tickets together. A three-dollar discount will be applied to the total purchase price and must be combined at the point of sale to receive the discount.  A limited number of discounted tickets will be available and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Festival tickets may be used either Saturday, Dec. 2, or Sunday, Dec. 3. ‘Legends of Yule’ tickets are only valid on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Guests are encouraged to park at Powhatten Park located at 3800 SE Third Street. Free shuttles will be running continuously throughout the event for pickups and drop-offs. A special tram will be available for handicapped or disabled guests only.
