1:00 – ??pm: 4-H Exhibit Building open for 4-H County Council and 4-H Jr. Council to clean 4-H Building and set-up

Sunday, July 17, 2022 (SUNDAY PRIOR TO FAIR OPENING DAY)

8:00am: Park Campers at Fairgrounds in Missouri Valley

1:00 – ??pm: Set-up day at Harrison County Fairgrounds in Missouri Valley

1:00 to 4:00pm: 4-H Exhibit Building open to 4-H clubs to decorate club booths (including Clover Kids booths)

Monday, July 18, 2022

7:00pm: Talent Show at the Logan-Magnolia High School Auditorium
Crowning of Fair King and Queen immediately after Talent Show
(Flowers donated by M J’s Flowers and Balloons)

Wednesday, July 20, 2022

8am - 7pm: Open Class Exhibit Entry Day

8:30am: 4-H Family and Consumer Sciences, Personal Development and Creative Visual Arts, 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Mechanics, Ag and Natural Resources, Animal Science, Horticulture and Photography Exhibits judging begins Tall Corn Contest entries may arrive with regular static exhibit entries

8:30am: Discovering 4-H Static Exhibits judging begins

8:30am: Clover Kids Exhibits judging begins

3:30pm: (approx.) 4-H Building is closed while state fair selections are made

6:30pm: Crowning of “Little Miss Harrison County”

(Free Entertainment Tent) on the fairgrounds

7:00pm: Open Class Exhibits must be in place – (except baked items, plants, and flowers)

7:00pm: 4-H Share the Fun (4-H Exhibit Building)

9:00pm: 4-H Building closes for the day

Thursday, July 21, 2022

8:00am: Open Class Judging – Garden, Art, Hobbies, Textiles(Grooms’ Hall closed during judging)

9am - 11am: 4-H Livestock Entry and Weigh-in (cattle, sheep, goats, dairy cattle)

9am - 11am: 4-H and Open Class Swine Entry

9am - 11am: 4-H Poultry testing (poultry will be tested before checking in)

9am - 11am: 4-H Poultry check-in (in the poultry barn)

10am: Open Class plants and flowers and food and nutrition exhibits must be in place

10am: Open Class Judging – Food and Nutrition and Flowers(Grooms’ Hall closed during judging)

12:00 noon: 4-H Exploring Swine Class at the Swine Barn

12:15pm: Weigh-in 4-H Swine (at swine barn)

2:00pm: 4-H Style Show (4-H Exhibit Building)

3:30pm: 4-H Rabbits check in (show ring)

4:00pm: 4-H Rabbit Show (show ring)

5:00pm: Farm Bureau Member Dinner/Annual Meeting (Free Entertainment Tent)

7:30pm: Evening Grandstand Event – Rodeo

Grandstand Admission:

1-5pm: 4-H Apple Pie and Muffin Baking Contest – held at the Missouri Valley High School - Family and Consumer Sciences Classroom Kitchen

5:00pm: 4-H Beef Exhibitor Meeting

6:00pm: 4-H Cat Show (4-H Building)

6:30 – 7:30pm: Open Class Swine Entry and Weigh-in

6:00pm: Gates Open for Concert

7:30pm: Opening Act - Jessica Lynne Wittey

9:00pm: Mark Wills Concert

8:30am: 4-H Swine Showmanship, followed by 4-H Swine Classes followed by Open Class Swine Show

10:30am: Harrison County Fair Parade – 2022 theme is “Building the Future”

12:45pm: State Fair Exhibits photo (4-H Building)

1:00pm: 4-H Pie/Muffin Pick-up and Line-up (at 4-H Building)

1:30pm: 4-H Apple Pie and Muffin Auction – Show Arena (time approx.)

Following the Pie and Muffin Auction

The winners of the Fair Board Gift Baskets will be announced

4pm: Clover Kid’s Stuffed Animal Show (4-H Building)

4 – 7pm: Open Class Premiums paid out

5:00pm: 4-H Dogs must check in at the Little Willow Dog Park, 1101 West Superior Street (north of the fairgrounds)

5:30pm: 4-H Dog Show at the Dog Park north of the fairgrounds

7:00 – 11:00pm: Rick Powell and Friends (Free Entertainment Tent)

7:30pm: Evening Grandstand Event – Figure 8 Races

Fireworks Display after the race!!!

8:30am: Open and 4-H Feeder/Bucket/Bottle Calf Entry/Classification at Scales

9am: Cow/Calf Units, followed by 4-H Beef Breeding Heifers, Market Heifers, Produce Heifers, Produce Steers, Market Steers, Packer’s Choice, Beef Showmanship, Group of 5 Beef, 4-H Feeder Calves, 4-H Bucket/Bottle Calves and Open Bucket/Bottle Calves

12:30 – 2:30pm: Farmer’s Market (under the Free Entertainment Tent)

1:00pm: Sign-up for Open Fun Horse Show

1:30pm: Sign-up for Pedal Tractor Pull sponsored by Harrison County Farm Bureau

2:00pm: Open Fun Horse Show begins

2 - 4pm: Pedal Tractor Pull sponsored by Harrison County Farm Bureau

2 - 5pm: 4-H Table Setting Contest (4-H Building)

4:00pm: 4-H Poultry Showmanship judging

4-H Poultry Show follows (CLOSED SHOW THIS YEAR)
Exhibitors may talk to the judge after the show’s completion

6:00pm: Quilt Turning (4-H Building)

6pm - 8:00pm: FREE FAMILY FUN NIGHT – in the park

9:00pm: 4-H Hogs going to the locker will leave fairgrounds

9:00am: 4-H Educational Presentations judging begins

9:00am: 4-H Sheep Show followed by 4-H Goat Show

8am - 11am: Open Class exhibits released Commercial Building and Grooms’ Hall and open class premiums paid out

11:30am: 4-H Dairy Cattle Show

12:30pm: 4-H Share-A-Beef – Show Arena

2:00pm: Campers may leave fairgrounds

3:30pm: 4-H Extemporaneous Speaking Contest prep (4-H Building)

4:00pm: 4-H Extemporaneous Speaking

5:30pm: Overall Livestock Exhibitor Announced – Show Ring

6:00pm: Ag-Lympics (probably in the show ring) (location could change)

8:00pm: Livestock Released
