Free Day at the Museum

Johnson County Museum is pleased to announce a free admission day at the Museum on Wednesday, November 22 from 9 AM - 4:30 PM.

Come enjoy the Museum's signature exhibit, "Becoming Johnson County," including the current "Jewish Holidays in the All-Electric House" exhibit, and visit the special exhibit gallery to view "TRAINS: Transportation and the Transformation of Johnson County."

This Free Day is brought to you with support from Mainstreet Credit Union. Stop by their table in the Museum to learn more!

KidScape is Included!
In addition to the Museum, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy KidScape, our interactive play area designed for young children.

Kids will have a chance to engage in hands-on play and imaginative activities that echo the themes found in the main gallery.
To ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone in our KidScape area, we'll be limiting entry to 100 people each hour. Each session will have a different color wristband and once your hour is up, we kindly ask that you leave to make room for the next group of visitors.

As always, there is no food or drink allowed in the Museum. If you would like to enjoy a snack or bring a lunch, please only eat in the Arts & Heritage commons. We're looking forward to seeing you!

2024 Free Days

Johnson County Museum offers four free admission days throughout the year. These Free Days provide families with the chance to enjoy the Museum's exhibits and KidScape without any cost. Our 2024 dates are:
