This is a festival open to everyone.  This is about film buffs, creators, and everyday people coming together for three days of community and creative expression.

Crazy About Film Festival : Encanto

Join us at Bryton & Co DIY Studio for this year’s Kid’s Choice screening, Encanto, as voted for by the 5th graders from Travis Elementary!  Attendance is free however prior booking via Eventbrite is essential.  All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Crazy About Film Festival : Short Film Contest

12 short films.  One $500 prize.  Who wins?  You decide! 

We've combed through hundreds of entries and after much deliberation we finally settled on our favorites! We'll be screening the short films on the Hatchet House's sprawling outdoor patio under the starry Texas Night Sky. The Hatchet House features premiere Axe and Knife throwing, food trucks, and ice cold beer so come out and chop it up with us before the screening!

Free Filmmaking Masterclass for Businesses & Non Profits

Do you have something to sell and a story to tell?  Join our CAFF co-founder, Carol Kaspar, for this free film making masterclass for individual entrepreneurs, businesses and non-profits. Produced in partnership with Main Street Mineral Wells and the Mineral Wells Area News, this hands on workshop will teach you the basics of filmmaking and how to showcase your products and services in your very own commercial to help boost sales.

Deep In The Heart at Lake Mineral Wells State Park

Narrated by Matthew McConaughey and featuring state-of-the-art cinematography, this family-friendly film journeys from the highest peaks in West Texas, through our aquifers, rivers, and bays, and deep into the Gulf of Mexico. Created by Emmy nominated Fin & Fur Films, Deep in the Heart aims to conserve our remaining wild places, to show the connectivity of water and wildlife, and to recognize Texas’ conservation importance on a continental scale.

We are delighted to be joining forces with Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Friends of Lake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway group to put on this event which will take place in the Park's Ampitheatre.  Attendance is free however prior booking via Eventbrite is essential.  If you would like to make a contribution on the evening, you are welcome to donate to the Friends of Lake Mineral Wells group who will be sharing more information about their work and how you can get involved.
