Arizona Republicans continue to follow the MAGA Herd, despite attempts to lie about their records

ARIZONA - New reports from the Washington Post show that despite MAGA Republicans doing Trump’s bidding, Doanld Trump is failing to invest in organizing in Arizona. It’s Friday, so here’s a round up (corral) of what our Arizona Republicans are up to in order to win Trump’s favor: 

• Rep. David Schweikert (AZ-01): is attempting to moderate and his constituents aren’t buying it writing that he is “too extreme” and “trying to wear centrist while a closeted MAGA and we are not voting for extreme any longer,” because they know that  “abortion rights, women’s health and a growing distaste of Trumpism is going to send Schweikert packing in Nov.” 

• Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06): had a busy week of playing politics and covering up his record. The Copper Courier exposed that Ciscomani helped pack the Arizona Supreme Court with the anti-abortion judges that reinstated the 1864 ban, then anti-abortion extremists Jim Jordan called him a “good friend,” during a border hearing that Ciscomani hosted for him in Arizona. Arizonans were angry when Cisocmani voted to make Jim Jordan speaker three times, saying that he “showed no backbone.”

• Rep. Eli Crane (AZ-02): called President Biden and Democrats “treasonous” today during the Jim Jordan/Ciscomani hearing about the border, despite Crane working to kill the bipartisan border deal. 

• Rep. Andy Biggs (AZ-05): also attended the Jim Jordan/Ciscomani hearing today, after going on right-wing media to spread anti-immigrant conspiracy theories about the census. 

Rep. Paul Gosar (AZ-09): responded to criticism about following Trump’s orders rather than working to move Arizona forward in his tax payer funded newsletter this week by saying “I make no apologies for being an America First conservative.”
