Can You Beat the Governor? Governor Stitt Announces Memorial Marathon Relay Team

On April 18th, Governor Kevin Stitt announced his team for the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon's Governor's Relay Challenge. Governor Stitt tapped an all-women team to compete in the relay. Members of the relay team are:

- Governor Kevin Stitt

- Shelley Zumwalt, Oklahoma secretary of tourism

- Charity Robertson, Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s first female captain

- Levi Gladd, former OU track runner and Gov. Stitt's administrative officer

- Natalia Cleveland, OSU track runner

"I look forward to running the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon relay every year. It's always amazing to see Oklahomans come together and run for a reason," said Governor Stitt. "This year, my cabinet has the most women in Oklahoma history, and it’s great to take the opportunity to highlight the awesome women in our state.

“I've been training, but it doesn't hurt to have some of OU and OSU's finest track stars as well as an OHP trooper and the fastest cabinet secretary in town on my side to help get us across the finish line. Let's see who can beat the governor this time!"

This is Governor Stitt's sixth year hosting a relay team for the challenge. All teams who register in the relay will automatically be entered to compete against the Governor's Relay Team. Teams that beat the Governor's Team's time will earn a special edition "I Beat the Governor" t-shirt mailed to them after the race. The Marathon Relay consists of five team members running a 10K, 5K, 12K, 5K, 10K.
