Trunk or Treat Comes to Twin Pines Park

Join us for a spooktacularly fun time at our second annual Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 27th, from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. This year we will be taking over the parking lot in Twin Pines Park, in front of the Parks and Recreation office. Stop by to see all the amazing, decorated cars and get lots of delicious candy. Costumes are encouraged! This event is free, and no registration is required (unless you are decorating your car). Open to all ages.

If you would like to decorate your vehicle and have it be part of this ghoulish event, register here by Friday, October 13th.

Movies in the Parks - Monsters University

We are so happy to be bringing new movies and locations to you this fall. Join us on Friday, October 6th, at Barrett Park for a movie under the stars! We will be showing Monsters University. Movie begins at sundown, about 6:45pm. This is our final movie night of the year.

Belmont Plays: Board Game Night 

You've heard of Belmont Talks, now get ready for Belmont Plays! Join other board game enthusiasts on Thursday, October 12th at 6:30pm in the Belmont Library Taube Room for this in person event. Free and open to all ages and skill levels. Get more information and register here.

New Adult Classes Starting Soon!

Registration for Fall 2023 classes and activities is still open. There are new adult class sessions, like a seated boot camp and yoga therapy for brain health, starting the week of October 16th. Check out our Fall 2023 offerings to get more information and register for a class today.

High School Fair

Join us on Wednesday, October 18th at 6:30pm in the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center for our second annual High School Fair. Middle schoolers and their families will have the opportunity to network with local public and private schools. More information here.

Scam Prevention Seminar

Did you know scams tend to increase during the holiday season? Join Cassie Villar with Adult Protective Services on Tuesday, October 24th at 10:30am in the Senior Center for a seminar highlighting the importance of shopping safely during the upcoming holiday season. Please RSVP at 650-595-7444.

Senior Halloween Spooktacular

Who’s ready to Monster Mash? Join us at the Senior Center on Tuesday, October 31st at 12:00pm for Halloween fun. Wear your spookiest or cutest costume for a chance to win the costume contest. There will be pumpkins to decorate, and of course dessert will be served. Free with RSVP to the Senior Center at 650-595-7444. For ages 55+.

Holiday Craft Faire

Our annual Holiday Craft Faire returns on Saturday, November 18th, from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Browse and shop for wonderful handmade items throughout our facilities in Twin Pines Park, The Manor, The Lodge, The Cottage, and The Senior and Community Center, all while getting in the holiday spirit. Get more information here.

Nominations are Open

Do you know someone special who made Belmont a better place by their selfless actions this year or a property owner or business whose beautification project made Belmont a prettier city? Nominations for both our Community Service and our Beautiful Belmont awards are now open. Nominate your heroes today. Winners will be announced in advance of our final Belmont City Council meeting of 2023.

Water Dog Run

Don't miss out on the fun! It's not too late to sign up for the Water Dog Run on Saturday, October 14th. Sign up to walk, run, cheer the runners on, or volunteer and show your support for what is looking like a record year for participants. 5k and 10k registration for students is discounted by $10.
