Fall Registration is Now Open! 

Registration for all fall classes and special events is now open. We are happy to be offering a wide range of classes and events for all age levels and interests. Register to receive a free tree, sharpen your piano or violin skills, or become the best soccer player you can be.

In addition to all our usual favorites, we will also have some new experiences such as a Safari Trip for adults and seniors, evening and daytime fitness classes at the Senior and Community Center, and baby ballet classes.

Fun for All Ages

Belmont Talks: DEI

Join City Councilmembers and Belmont’s DEI Officer on Thursday, August 10th at 6:30pm as they lead an interactive discussion on the fundamentals of DEI and how Belmont can be a place that is welcoming to all. Find more information and register here.

Free Adult Class Demos

Two of our instructors want to offer you the opportunity to try their classes for free. No pre-registration required. Yoga Therapy for Brain Health demo will be Monday, August 14th at 10:30am and Silver Foxes Bootcamp demo will be Monday, August 14th at 1:00pm.  Both demos will be at the Senior & Community Center.

Get Involved in Voices

Are you a high schooler interested in helping your community? Join VOICES, a group of high school students from the Belmont/San Carlos area who participate in service projects across the Bay Area. Applications for the 2023-24 school year due by August 14th. Submit your application here!

Movies in the Parks - Ratatouille

We are so happy to be bringing new movies and locations to you this fall. Join us on Friday, August 25th, in the Twin Pines Meadow for a movie under the stars! We will be showing Ratatouille. Movie begins at sundown. See our other dates and locations here.

Free Adult and Senior Seminar

Join Cassie Villar with the County of San Mateo’s Adult Protective Services on Tuesday, August 29th at 10:30am in the Senior & Community Center to learn the signs and symptoms of often hidden crimes, as well as the most effective ways to report suspected abuse. Please RSVP to the Senior Center at 650-595-7444.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is coming to Twin Pines Park on Friday, October 27th, 5:30pm-7:00pm! This is a free, community-wide event where participants decorate vehicles and share candy from their trunks and we want you to join! Reserve a parking space for your vehicle here.

Other Updates

Barrett Evening Off-Leash Hours Ending

Evening off-leash hours at Barrett multi-use field will end on Friday, August 11th. Morning off-leash hours, 7:00am - 8:00am, Monday - Friday, will continue until Thursday, November 30th.
Reminder: NO dogs on field outside permitted hours--even if the field is vacant and NO excessive barking. Please explore Cipriani Dog Park for additional off-leash hours.

Seeking New Adult Class Instructors

Are you an art, fitness, dance, or cooking instructor?  Do you have a skill or talent you’re passionate about that you’d like to teach to others?  We are currently looking to add more adult classes to our schedule. Holiday Craft Faire 2023

Our annual Holiday Craft Faire returns on Saturday, November 18th, from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Browse and shop for wonderful handmade items throughout our facilities in Twin Pines Park, all while getting in the holiday spirit. Vendor registration for the Holiday Craft Faire will open on Friday, September 1st. Vendors can choose from one table or two table setups. Get more information here.

Water Dog Run

Run, walk, volunteer, or cheer. The Water Dog run is back this year on Saturday, October 14th. In support of Water Dog Runs youth-oriented mission, 5k and 10k registration for students have been reduced by $10! And as tradition, all registrants and volunteers are treated to a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Belmont Redwood Shores Rotary. Get more information and register here.
